The Resident Services Director leads and elevates the overall resident experience. Providing oversight to Independent Living departments including but not limited to Pastoral Care, Life Safety, Welcome Center, Transportation and Wellness. This role leads and develops departmental managers under their direction, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational standards.
Success in this position requires exceptional communication skills, sound judgment, and a high degree of patience and compassion when engaging with team members, residents, and families. The Director also implements policies and regulations to ensure a welcoming, safe, and hospitable environment for residents, staff, and guests.
Responsibilities- Supervise and develop managers of departments related to independent care. Providing onboarding, training, and evaluating performance.
- Supervise other sight specific staff such as Executive assistant and Hospitality Specialist.
- Create and coordinate work schedules; and serve as the departmental timekeeper for hourly associates.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, engaging and training team members.
- Establish departmental strategic goals while managing financial resources to ensure that needed resources are available and that services are delivered to residents, as appropriate.
- Support and advise regarding day-to-day operations in the Independent Living area.
- Manage the resident survey process and reporting.
- College degree or advanced schooling preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated creativity and customer service experience.
- Must possess a customer service or sales background and orientation.
