Truck Driver

Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, and related supplies in the United States. Through eight regions, we operate under various banners, including Rexel, Gexpro, Mayer, and Platt Electric Supply, supported by an online store and over 460 warehouse locations nationwide.

We are looking for a Truck Driver to join our Mayer team in Montgomery, AL.

Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on their level of experience, knowledge, and capabilities. The Truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). They ensure deliveries meet customer requirements efficiently and that materials are correct and free of damage.

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair or service needed.
• Follow Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). local, and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt signed by the customer, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
• Pick up material returns from customers and inspect condition, verify quantities and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• Senior Truck Driver will participate in training entry-level drivers and provide mentorship and coaching.
• May be required to support other warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.

• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident or violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years.

• Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
