Star Service, Inc. of Mobile, the leading HVAC Service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our Plant Operations team in the Mobile, AL area! This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of various industrial equipment and systems.

• 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diverse HVAC (Chiller service preferred)
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights.

• Maintain and repair chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate the system to manufacturers' recommendations, and effectively explain to the customer the solutions.
• High-level attention to detail in documenting work performed.
• Communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers, as needed, to keep the company and customers informed about work progressions.
• Be available to work limited nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service the emergency needs of our customers.
• Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
