We are open 7 days a week to serve lunch, brunch, cocktails and full service catering.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team! The Prep Cook is responsible for ensuring all food items are prepared, portioned, and ready for service according to Big Bad Breakfast’s high standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established specifications
- Wash, chop, measure, and store ingredients properly
- Follow daily prep lists and prioritize tasks to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, walk‑ins, and storage spaces
- Label, date, and rotate all food products to maintain freshness and food safety
- Assist line cooks and other team members during busy service periods
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Previous prep or line cook experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person
- Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
