The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center is seeking a bold, strategic, and hands‑on Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations across our hotel and convention center. This is a high‑visibility leadership role for a chef who thrives in complex environments, inspires strong kitchen teams, and delivers memorable dining experiences at scale—from signature restaurant offerings to large‑format banquets and events.

- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, culinary staff, and food production across the hotel and convention center
- Ensure consistent execution of high‑quality, on‑brand food experiences in restaurant, banquet, catering, and special event settings
- Drive menu development, food presentation, and innovation while maintaining operational efficiency
- Maintain full accountability for food cost, labor, inventory, purchasing, and multiple P&L statements
- Partner closely with hotel leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and performance optimization
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of accountability and pride in craftsmanship
- 3–5+ years of progressive Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience in high‑volume, complex hotel or resort environments
- Proven success managing large‑scale banquet and catering operations alongside a full‑service restaurant
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, cost controls, inventory management, and procurement
- Deep understanding of hotel financials, general ledger processes, and cost‑of‑goods optimization
- Serv Safe Manager certification (or ANSI‑accredited equivalent) and working knowledge of standard Health Department regulations and FDA Food Code standards
- A leader who develops people, builds trust, and sets a clear culinary vision
