Position: OR Nurse (RN) | Montgomery, Alabama
This opportunity offers a rewarding role as a registered nurse specializing in the operating room with a focus on robotics and a diverse surgical caseload. The position is based in Montgomery, AL, in a facility featuring 6 operating rooms and a cystoscopy room, supporting multiple surgical specialties including General, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, and Pediatric Dental. The workload includes managing up to six rooms at a time with a consistent 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring attentive and specialized care.

Schedule and

Hours:

• 5 days per week
• 8-hour day shifts
• Workload distribution between 80-85% operating room duties

Key Qualifications and

Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with operating room experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a non-travel nursing role is preferred; first-time travelers with at least 2 years of relevant experience are welcome
• Strong robot-assisted surgery experience, particularly for General, Gynecology, and Urology procedures
• Proficiency in circulator duties within the OR
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality perioperative care and patient advocacy throughout surgical procedures
• Performing circulator duties to manage the operating room environment efficiently
• Collaborating with surgical teams, including managing robotics-powered interventions
• Ensuring compliance with sterile processing guidelines in conjunction with central sterile services
