Job Summary
The NP – Nurse Practitioner, Physician Practice shall perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice, including complete, detailed and accurate histories; review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports; complete physical examinations; make diagnoses and institute therapy, including drug therapy; institute emergency measures and emergency treatment; arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician;
participate in hospital rounds; provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients; and perform additional duties within scope of the role.
- Master of Science in Nursing degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license required.
- Active N.P. license through ANCC or AANP required.
- BLS certification required.
- Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
- Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
- Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients.
- Requires sitting 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
- Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
- Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
- Protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
- Exposure to computer work.
- Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
- Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
