Summary
:
The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for the general supervision and coordination of activities of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions, and will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.

This position may have additional duties assigned that are within the scope of the role.

Education/Experience
:
Degree in Nursing required, BSN degree preferred.

License/Certification
:
Active RN licensure required, BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending upon the area assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
:
Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility for 80% of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversations either by phone or in person.

Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges. Protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes; minimal noise levels. Access to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job‑related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and occasional exposure to radiation.
