7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 18 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).
• May require floating to additional units and locations.
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility.
• Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months between Staff at Program:
  Simpli Fi Program – Baptist Health UAB.
• Pre‑employment modules may be required. Please upload certifications/health documents to expedite onboarding.

• First‑time traveler:
  At least 18 months experience in Med Surg with EPIC or Cerner.
• RNs required to interpret and confirm q4 hours strip reading.

• Parking:
  Parking deck only 2nd through 4th levels.

• Up to 7 on your behalf excluding provided blackout dates, NM/EanH approval for blackout dates.
• No RTO will be approved during the following dates:
  Thanksgiving: 11/26 - 11/30
  Christmas/New Year’s: 12/21 - 1/1

• Weekend rotation:
  Every other or 4 weekend days per month.
• Holiday Expectations:
  One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy.
• Holiday Expectations:
  Not automatically scheduled; no contractual guarantee to be off prior to arrival.

• Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds).

• At least 1 year of trauma/surgical experience. Wound care, chest tubes, NGT, IV skills, medication administration/documentation and escalations.
• IV start, blood draws from central lines, trach care, PEG, NGT, colostomy/ostomy, wound care, chest tube, surgical site care, C-collar, abdominal binders, restraints.
• 1:6 patient ratio for RN and LPNs.
• Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, drains, foleys, IV starts;
  Chemo admin if certified.
• Tele monitoring on hallway monitors and by tele techs on ground floor.
• Assessment, prioritization, communication, documentation skills.
• Tracheotomy care, suctioning, O2 therapy, ostomy care, foley care, external catheter care, PEG/NGT care, wound care, chest tube, central line care, pressure ulcer management, falls prevention, restraints.
• PCA pumps, wound care, dressing changes, foley, drains.
• Trach, wound care, wound vacs, IV starts, CVL dressing changes, foley protocol.
