Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (LPN or RN)

We are currently accepting applications for the Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (LPN or RN) role at Crowne Health Care, a subsidiary of Crowne Health Care, an Alabama‑based system of family‑owned nursing facilities. Qualifications
  • LPN licensed in the State of Alabama
  • Previous treatment/wound care experience preferred; willing to train and certify – facility will cover cost
  • Wound care certified a plus
Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for the assessment and follow‑up of each resident's needs for and results of treatments in a designated area of the facility.
  • Communicate with other licensed staff assessing needs and results to assure residents do not decrease their functional abilities—such as skin breakdown, contractures, weight loss, skin tears—while in the facility.
  • Provide treatment of ostomies, stomas, acute and chronic wounds, and urinary and fecal incontinence breakdowns.
  • Be a team player who works with other teams to assure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day; assist the nursing department to ensure residents' care plans are followed; document in records as per policy and procedures; participate in staff meetings and in‑services as required. Provide a multidisciplinary approach to treatment to assure continuum of care.
