Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishment.

• Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance
• 10+ years work experience in an aluminum extrusion facility
• Minimum five (5) years of experience working as a maintenance manager in a heavy manufacturing facility.

• Effectively leads and trains maintenance staff in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
• Implements a Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Program for production and support equipment
• Communicates daily status of machine downtime and repair activities
• Effectively communicates with the production and quality departments to ensure a complete understanding of all ongoing equipment problems
• Leads and coordinates root cause and corrective action of equipment failures
• Ensures the implementation and accuracy of the computer maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Orders equipment, materials, and supplies needed by the maintenance department
• Directs and schedules training of maintenance technicians to improve job skills and work performance
• Prepares the department budget and monitors expenditures to ensure budget compliance
• Evaluates and resolves problems, correctly focuses resources, and makes effective decisions through the application of job know-how

• Abides by company rules, policies and procedures at all times
• Performs job tasks in a safe manner maintaining safety as the highest priority
• Reports any unsafe condition or act immediately to the Plant Manager or HSE Manager.

• Experience in continuous improvement in heavy manufacturing
• Knowledge of the aluminum extrusion process
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on aluminum extrusion presses and fabrication equipment
• Effectively organize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong analytical skills
• Basic PLC knowledge including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems using RSLogix 5, 500 and 5000 and Studio 5000 software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, requirements, and solutions
• Good understanding of capital and expense budgets and operations planning
