RECYCLING SITE ATTENDANT (PART‑TIME)

Montgomery County, VA has openings for Part‑Time Recycling Attendants. The position involves opening and closing recycling centers at designated times and ensuring the site remains clean and safe. Functions include notifying supervisors when bins are full and assisting facility users with proper disposal of trash and recyclables.

• Open and close recycling centers at designated times.
• Notify supervisor when bins are full.
• Assist users with proper disposal of trash and recyclables.
• Keep the site tidy and free of debris.

• Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate loads up to 50 pounds safely.
• Capable of walking, pushing, or pulling items on irregular terrain in varying weather conditions.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to read instructions, hazardous chemical warnings, and write to complete standard forms and reports.
• Completion of high school or GED, or equivalent experience and training.
• Strong customer‑service skills.

Pay $15.30 per hour, up to 24 hours per week. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.
