Mainframe Programmer

Position: Mainframe Programmer

Duration: 7 months

Mainframe Programmer Analyst responsible for design, development, testing and implementation of Mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL) applications.

DHR ISD is looking for highly skilled Mainframe developers for the ALECS (Alabama Location Enforcement and Collection System) project. ALECS is the federally certified system used by the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR). It operates in the support of the DHR Child Support Enforcement Program to meet the requirements mandated by US DHHS and OCSS. The system processes approximately $350 million in collections each year and supports over 600 users with over 50 interfaces.

We are seeking highly skilled developers who have experience in developing Mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL) applications.

• Experience in working with financial Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL and TSO
• Experience using COBOL code generators such as TELON
• Child Support Application development and conversion experience is preferred

• Required 7 years of experience in COBOL
• Required 7 years of experience in CICS
• Required 7 years of experience in DB2
• Required 7 years of experience in JCL
• Required 7 years of experience in SQL
• Required 7 years of experience in TSO
• Nice to have experience in TELON/Code generators
• Required Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and self-motivated
