Highlights
The Assistant Manager is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving accounts in the Baptist Health Accounts Receivables. This involves supervising Biller and Collectors, contributing to the tracking of key performance indicators, identifying and addressing ongoing training needs, and working with a focus on process improvement. The Assistant Manager will excel at communicating expectations to team members and providing follow-up to ensure task completion.
The Assistant Manager will utilize multiple computer systems (STAR Financials, SSI Click On, MPF, Power Chart, etc.) on a daily basis. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for a variety of Billing and Collections activities and will work under the direction of the CBO Billing and Follow-up Manager and other CBO Leadership to facilitate ongoing operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree or technical certification preferred.
- At least 3 years supervisor/team lead experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare-related field for at least 1 year required.
- Experience with UB-04 and 1512 claim form billing for all payer types.
- Experience with Insurance Follow-Up standards and practices (CAS codes).
- Proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
CPAR preferred.

- Ability to follow directions and establish priorities effectively.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently and with team leads.
- Dependability in both production and attendance.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse customers and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
- Understanding of federal, commercial, and managed care payers.
- Ability to operate within multiple hospital systems concurrently.
