Summary
:
The Manager, Physician Billing Office shall be responsible to assist with monitoring workflow as it relates to the daily operation of physician billing and coding. This individual will be responsible to staff the department, workflow, compliance, and to ensure department policy and procedure adherence. Additionally, the Manager will communicate department metrics related to revenue cycle to Revenue Cycle leadership. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
- Knowledge of federal, commercial and managed care payers.
- Ability to operate concurrently within a variety of hospital systems.
- Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
- Familiarity with clinical delivery of care
Familiar with medical terminology
Education / Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree or Technical certification preferred. At least 2 years’ management experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience in healthcare with knowledge of Customer Service, Patient Accounting and Posting (ERA, CAS codes and EFT) required.
License / Certification
CPAR required or obtained within 6 months of hire to role

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.

- Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
- Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
