Description
Performs support functions related to equipment/supply use appropriate to the position, and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Qualifications- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Hospital purchasing, sterilization, distribution, inventory management, or other hospital experience preferred. - Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
None - Equipment/Tools/Work Aids:
Disinfection and sterilization equipment, fax, copier, telephone, computer and calculator preferred. - Specialized
Skills:
Basic computer and calculator skills. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to form effective working relationships with co-workers, management and customers. Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions. - Physical Requirements:
Visual and hearing acuity, ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Manual dexterity. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to routinely lift 25 pounds. Considerable walking, pushing, or pulling equipment and supply carts weighing up to 65 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and overhead use of arms. Ability to meet the attendance requirements of the job.
