The Medical Assistant shall provide quality patient care biljantes rapidly. They will assist in patient education, communicate patient information to and from physicians, and perform various assigned tasks under physician supervision.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting (e.g., clinical lab, physician’s office, Emergency Medical Tech.).
• Preferred:
  Active Medical Assistant certification/registration; BLS required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of equipment:
  Glucometer, PT/INR machine, wheelchair, thermometers.
• Knowledge of tests: urinalysis, EKG.
• Organizational skills.
• Oral and written communication and computer skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to pass all written and clinical tests.

Work Conditions /

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing 30%, walking 40%, sitting 5% of the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds.
• Continuous speaking with clear diction, hearing sensitivity within normal limits, and visual acuity 20/40 or better.
• Exposed to computer work, occasional electrical shock risk, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
