Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with trauma, biopsy drainage, and angiogram procedures, requiring current ARRT and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Large hospital setting with 492 beds and a Level II Trauma Center
- Covers adult inpatient and outpatient cases, with some pediatric outpatient or ED cases
- Average caseload of 4 patients per hour, with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Performs trauma, biopsy drainage, angiogram, and stroke perfusion scans
- Utilizes GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR
- Day shifts available, typically 8 hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Potential to float throughout the main Radiology department and different areas as needed
- Weekend rotation typically once per month, subject to departmental needs
- Holiday coverage required per hospital policy, with expectation of one major and one minor holiday
- Voluntary on-call options available
- Duties include performing advanced CT procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, trauma and stroke perfusion imaging
- Work under Level II Trauma Center protocols and support acute patient care
- Free parking available onsite
- Scrub color is flexible; any color allowed
- All candidates must complete a hospital orientation and 2-3 shifts on unit with a preceptor
- Returning employees must wait 6 months before being eligible as a traveler
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required for consideration
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- ARRT-CT certification required
- State license preferred;
License required if applicable - At least 1 year of CT experience required, 2 years preferred for first-time travelers
- Strong skills in CT biopsy drainage, trauma scans, angiograms required
- Experience with stroke perfusion scans is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR preferred
- Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility
