Summary
:
The Medical Assistant shall provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner. This individual shall assist in delivery of patient education. The Medical Assistant is responsible to communicate the patient information to and from physician. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will assume various job tasks as assigned. The Medical Assistant shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed patient care under the supervision of Physician.

This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience
:
High School Graduate or equivalent required with medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting, (Ex: clinical lab, physician's office, Emergency Medical Tech., etc.). Medical Training: LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Physician Office.
License / Certification
:
Active Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred, BLS required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:

• Knowledge of the following equipment:
Glucometer, PT/INR machine, wheel chair, and thermometers.

• Knowledge of the following test: urinalysis and EKG.

• Organizational skills.

• Oral and written communication and computer skills.

• Customer services skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.

• Ability to show proficiency by passing all written and clinical test.
