The Patient Care Technician shall serve as a supportive member of the patient care team, assisting in routine and non‑complex aspects of patient care. The PCT assists RNs, LPNs, and physicians in the patient care process and may have additional duties assigned within the scope of the role.

• Full time, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

• Assist RNs, LPNs, and physicians in routine and non‑complex patient care tasks.
• Support patients with activities of daily living.
• Carry out tasks within the scope of the role.
• Resolve patient complaints and concerns.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a nursing student or 1 year of experience in acute care, nursing home or home‑care preferred.

• BLS required.

• Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety, principles of physical care and comfort.
• Medical terminology training preferred.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Position requires sitting 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.

• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
• Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity.
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
• Minimum noise levels.
• Protected from weather but not from temperature changes.
• Exposure to computer work, electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, radiation.
