OverviewThe Rehabilitation Aide shall work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist and/or licensed Therapist Assistant. This individual will assist with daily practice of Rehabilitation Services under the direct supervision of the licensed therapists in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily rehabilitation practices under direct supervision.
- May be assigned additional duties within scope of the role.
- High school graduate or equivalent required. Actively pursuing a degree in Rehabilitation Services field preferred.
- Completed rehab services orientation satisfactorily.
- BLS required.
- Maintain age-specific and non-age-specific competencies.
Physical Requirements
- Position requires sitting 25%, standing 60%, walking 15% of the workday.
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
- Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action.
- Occasional lifting 75 lbs., pushing, pulling 100 lbs.
- Continuous speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity.
- Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
- Environment protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
