Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Working knowledge of PC applications, Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive public relations image in all medical staff and interdepartmental communications.
- Relate to physicians, coworkers and patients in a courteous, helpful and respectful manner.
- Participate in a team effort to accomplish department goals and be willing to rearrange schedules according to department needs.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Organization and time‑management skills.
- Ability to follow directions and establish priorities effectively.
- Self‑directed and capable of working without direct supervision.
- Dependable in both production and attendance.
Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility for 20% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Indoor environment;
minimal noise levels. Computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, radiation.
