Clinic Scheduler role at Baptist Health - Central Alabama.

Position involves patient scheduling, EMR documentation, and coordination of referrals to specialists.

The clinic scheduler is responsible for assisting the provider with the maintenance and scheduling of patient testing and procedures, as well as providing referrals to specialists. They will use the EMR program to document, reschedule as needed, and provide clerical assistance as required.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Physician office experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of PC applications, Word, Excel, etc.
• Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive public relations image in all medical staff and interdepartmental communications.
• Relate to physicians, coworkers and patients in a courteous, helpful and respectful manner.
• Participate in a team effort to accomplish department goals and be willing to rearrange schedules according to department needs.

Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility for 20% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Indoor environment;

minimal noise levels. Computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, radiation.
