The Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for obtaining pre‑certification of outpatient and office procedures, scheduling all procedures, assisting patients with insurance and eligibility questions, and communicating effectively with physicians, staff, and third‑party payers.

Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalency required. Two years clerical experience required. Prior training or certification from an approved Nursing Assistant Program and experience in healthcare services preferred.
License / CertificationNone required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety principles of physical care and comfort.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility for 20% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, and pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for clear diction, hearing sensitivity, and visual acuity at close and distant ranges.
Exposure to computer work and occasional electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
