PBO Clinical/Revenue Cycle Manager

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties. This position is responsible for assisting with monitoring workflow as it relates to the day to day operation of physician Billing and Coding. They will be responsible for staffing, human resource challenges, department workflow, compliance, and department policy and procedure adherence, and communicate concerns and other items with PBO Manager.
Communicates department metrics related to revenue cycle to PBO Manager. This employee will handle daily work assignments and special projects.
High school graduate or equivalent required. College degree or Technical Certification preferred. At least 2 years management experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience in healthcare with knowledge of Customer Service, Patient Accounting and Posting (ERA, CAS codes and EFT) required. CPAR preferred. Clinical Experience preferred.
License & CertificationCPAR required or obtained within 6 months in position.

- Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations
- Knowledge of federal, commercial and managed care payers
- Ability to operate concurrently within a variety of hospital systems
- Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
- Familiarity of clinical delivery of care
- Familiar with medical terminology
Physical Requirements
- Position requires sitting for 70% of the workday and mobility 30% of the workday
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
- Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person
- Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range
- Indoor protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes; minimal noise levels
- Much exposure to computer work
- Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock
- Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals, occasional exposure to radiation
