SummaryThe Physical Therapist shall evaluate patients and prescribe a treatment program, with Physician approval for all patient assignments. The Therapist shall further adjust the program within constraints and confer with the Physician as needed. This individual will document treatment, progress, and make suggestions toward further treatment. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / ExperienceMasters’ or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
License / CertificationActive PT license required, BLS required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Skilled to provide general discipline specific therapy services to meet patient care requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
- Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
- Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
Position requires sitting 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
