The Nuclear Medicine Technologist shall provide timely and courteous services to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing Nuclear Medicine procedures accurately and efficiently. This individual will detect unusual conditions and assume responsibility to problem solve. The Technologist will maintain instruments and troubleshoot when necessary. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience
:
Graduate of a School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or School of Radiologic Technology required.

License/Certification
:
Active ARRT (N) or CNMT licensure required, BLS required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:

• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Must have the ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Must remain aware of patient condition at all times.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.

• Position requires 10% light work (lifting 20 lbs max) involving administrative duties; 90% of work involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling patients, equipment, and supplies while preparing and performing studies.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and balance to set up and adjust equipment and position patients.
• Manual dexterity, mobility, hearing, and color distinction required.
• Continuous ability to communicate effectively; occasional pushing/pulling or lifting up to 150 lbs.
• Clear diction and hearing sensitivity for communication by phone or in person.
• Visual acuity for distant and near tasks; color distinction required.
• Must listen and respond to instructions from physicians and staff.
• Inside environment with minimal weather exposure; minimal noise levels.
• Frequent computer work; occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
