We are currently seeking an experienced Site and Safety Professional to join our growing Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Team. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. This position provides direct support to the Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety VP to include the identification and selection of electronic services, tools, and vendors to manage complex efforts such as medical monitoring, injury and illness prevention and tracking, and safety training for clients across the United States.

The successful candidate will also be Professional Safety Certified from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter.

This position is responsible for the management of all EHS requirements for specific contracts to include the USACE, Oil & Gas, commercial and industrial clients, as well as employees completing tasks on assigned projects.

Experience and Qualifications
  • BS from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience of related field project experience and either possess or in process of pursuing a Professional Safety Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or equivalent.
  • Current Health and Safety training certificates required for the tasks being completed on each project, 30 Hours OSHA training, First Aid, CPR, and BBP training.
  • Shall maintain competency through having taken 8 hours of documented formal, on-line, or self-study safety and health related coursework every year.
    Designated as the regulatory and client required competent person, depending on the job complexity, size, and any other pertinent factors.
  • Follows a safety professional career path and obtains the related professional certifications.
  • Develop project specific Accident Prevention Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis, Job Safety Analysis, and other supporting EHS documents.
    Implementation of the USACE EM 385-1-1
  • Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, FAA, state, local, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal and external health and safety training.
  • Conduct EHS reviews of all field projects that involve high risk activities.
  • Stop work activities that represent an imminent hazard to employees.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to prevent all injuries and illnesses.
  • Lead injury and illness mishap and near incident reporting and investigation, final reporting, corrective actions, and lessons learned development efforts.
  • Conduct field environmental, EHS reviews and develop follow-up reports for submission to Pond management and field team leadership.
  • Manage field efforts that include complex tasks involving higher risk hazards.
  • Mentor junior level Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHOs)
  • Review and approve Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) or Job Hazard Analyses (JHA)
  • Must be able to successfully complete a Department of Defense (DoD) background check for access on military installations and department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) background check.
  • EHS tasks as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Position will require extensive travel to domestic or foreign locations. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Employee must be able to travel freely on a passport or other official document."
