Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will teach Theatre following courses:
Introduction to Theatre
Acting, levels I – IV
, Fundamentals of Play Structure & Analysis
, Vocal Training for the Actor
, and African American Drama
; provide expertise in stage management, dramaturgy, portfolio development, and potentially direct one (1) production each year; engage in professional and scholarly development; participate in college curriculum and committee work; advise students and perform other duties as assigned.
M.F.A. or PhD. in Theatre, and 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level are required, OR 1 year of teaching experience at the college/university level and 3 years of professional experience in the field (Theatre), OR 6 years of professional experience in the field (Theatre) are required. It is to be noted that for the purpose of continuous improvement of faculty qualifications as faculty members complete advanced degrees, certifications, licenses, etc.,
the faculty member will send official documentation, within 45 days of hire, to the Office of Human Resources, and the credentialing file in Academic Affairs.
