Job Description

Thrive Girls Academy is a program of Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas. We are an accredited school with Cognia (Texas Education Agency) and We are EXPANDING!!

Lead Direct Care Staff will provide spiritual leadership and encouragement to residential students while continually supervising the students. Supervise at night & assist students (ages
12yrs to17yrs).

Applicants Minimumage requirement is 21yrs old. On-campus LIVE-IN, full-time position available.

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or work experience equivalence
  • At least 1 year full timeministry experience
  • A good driving record
Responsibilities

Will primarily serve as aminister to female students in the Adolescent program (12yr TO 17yr old).

Responsibilities include butnot be limited to:

  • Disciple, educate and equip students
  • Engage in religiousinstruction
  • Work with other departments to comply with all TCUSA, COGNIA & Texas regulations
  • Participate in campus eventsand chapels as required
  • Supervision (following staffcheck off list responsibilities), mentoring, and interacting with residentsduring various activities, which may include but is not limited to onlineschool, TC Curriculum, work periods, free time, and recreational activities
  • Administer discipline as is necessary according to THRIVE Girls Academy policies
  • Minister to students asopportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions
  • Become a mentor to students
  • All other duties as assigned by Director
Requirements
  • shall be a person ofspiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in fullagreement with the ATCOT mission statement
  • Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course
  • Knowledge of Christiandiscipleship and mentor relationships. Knowledge of ATC programs.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ideally credentialed as aminister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship
  • 30 hours of training inchildcare or related field (Provided by ATCOT Adolescent annual in-service)
  • Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by ATCOT)
  • A background check andpastoral reference is required
