POSITION SUMMARY

AGI is seeking a Korean Language Instructor with some experience in Korean - English interpretation and translation to support a one-week virtual class followed by a two-week in-person training program in Montgomery, Alabama program April 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching military personnel and/or government professionals and will be responsible for both language instruction and integrated interpretation activities. Guidance will be provided for the course format and activities by the AGI team.

All travel expenses will be covered for the qualified candidate, including roundtrip airfare to/from the training site, local transportation to/from the training location/hotel, local per diem, as well as lodging for the duration of the program.

REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct research, preparation, and planning to ensure effective delivery of instructional materials and activities in accordance with program objectives and guidelines.
  • Integrate Interpretation (and some translation) activities into the curriculum, with a focus on enhancing participants’ skills.
  • Provide classroom instruction in the target language on assigned topics, aligned with program requirements and the instructor’s qualifications.
  • Facilitate on site role play exercises and other enrichment activities to support language acquisition and practical application.
  • Assist with administering initial and final language assessments.

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing program and training activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Native proficiency in Korean and a strong command of English (both spoken and written).
  • Experience teaching Korean language to adult professionals.
  • Some experience in Korean - English translation and interpretation.
  • Good instructional, organizational, and communication skills in both Korean and English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience planning, organizing, and leading language and/or cultural training programs.
  • Familiarity with U.S. military environment and instructing military members.
  • Academic background in linguistics, translation, education, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learners.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

8-hour shifts or as required by the customer.

PAY RANGE

Pay Range: $4,000 - $4,500 per three (3) weeks

Several factors, including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data, determine the final salary.
