Overview
AUM College of Nursing and Health Sciences department of Communication Disorders is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure‑track faculty position. This position will support a graduate program in speech‑language pathology that holds candidacy status with the CAA through spring 2029. Doctorate degree required. Recent clinical experience and teaching experience desired. The position reports to the Department Chair of Communication Disorders (CMDS).
QualificationsApplicants must have an earned research doctorate degree in Speech Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Science, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred). A.B.D. candidates are eligible, but all degree requirements must be completed by June 1, 2026. Candidates must show evidence of the ability to develop a research program, potential for excellence in teaching, and a commitment to university, community, and professional service.
An active Certified Speech‑Language Pathologist (CCSLP) from ASHA and eligibility to be licensed in Alabama is required. Some undergraduate teaching may be needed.
