The Department of Fine Arts at Auburn University at Montgomery seeks adjunct instructor(s) capable of teaching VISU 3030:
History of 17th and 18th Century Art on Monday/Wednesday from 2:10 – 3:25 pm and/or VISU 3630:
Modern Art to 1945 on Monday/Wednesday from 9:25 am – 10:40 am. Courses will be offered face‑to‑face. Instructors must also be prepared to work with graduate students enrolled in a stacked section of a given course.
All instructors are expected to be competent teachers who cover the essential content, fulfill learning objectives, respond to changing professional needs, commit to innovative delivery of instruction, and be capable of teaching online.
Application materials must include a brief cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of three academic references, and copies of all collegiate‑level transcripts.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in Art History (MA) from an accredited institution by May 31, 2021.
- Prior teaching experience at an accredited institution is preferred.
- Ability to utilize an online learning management tool such as Blackboard.
- Sample syllabus required with application materials.
- Terminal degree appropriate for the discipline or equivalent training and experience.
