The School of Accountancy in the College of Business at the Auburn University at Montgomery ( AUM ) is accepting applications for a 9 month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Accounting. The candidate selected for this position will start in August 2026. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting, participate in research and scholarly activities consistent with AACSB expectations, and engage in service activities within the school, college, university, profession and community.

This position requires a Doctorate in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution ( ABD will be considered). Applicants should demonstrate capacity for high quality teaching (as evidenced by teaching evaluations, if available). Evidence of scholarly productivity is essential, in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills. Teaching interests in auditing or data analytics or AI are preferred but all areas will be considered.

Located in Montgomery, Alabama, AUM was established as a metropolitan campus of Auburn University by an act of the Alabama Legislature in 1967. AUM’s College of Business has earned a reputation for quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

Terminal degree appropriate for the discipline or related field.

“Terminal degree” refers to the highest degree awarded in a discipline. The doctorate is the terminal degree for most disciplines represented at Auburn University at Montgomery.
