Join Our Dynamic Team at Faulkner University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program!

Faulkner University is thrilled to announce two full‑time, 12‑month, tenure‑track faculty positions in our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, with a planned start date of August 2026. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals with a terminal academic degree or a DPT with advanced certification. Contemporary expertise in acute care, cardiopulmonary, geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation is preferred but not required.

Exciting developments are underway in our College of Health Sciences! Our program is housed in an 85,000 square foot state‑of‑the‑art facility featuring over 5,000 square feet of cutting‑edge physical therapy lab space, dedicated PT research areas, a simulation center, and an in‑house interdisciplinary pro bono clinic. Our college also includes programs in Occupational Therapy, Speech‑Language Pathology, Nursing, and Physician Assistant Studies, fostering a rich environment for interprofessional collaboration.

Responsibilities

and Activities

As a faculty member, you will:

  • Develop and teach assigned courses
  • Advise and mentor students
  • Engage in community and professional service
  • Conduct research and scholarly activities
  • Participate in college and university activities
  • Collaborate with other programs for interprofessional education
  • Contribute to program and curriculum development, implementation, and assessment
Qualifications

Terminal academic degree (Ph.D., DPT, or equivalent) or a DPT with advanced certification. Preferred but not required: expertise in acute care, cardiopulmonary, geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation.
