Urologist

Overview

Urologist role at Veterans in Healthcare.

• Perform a full range of urologic evaluations.
• Procedures within the practitioner’s scope of practice and facility capabilities, including but not limited to prostate biopsy, TURP, stenting, retrogrades, hydrocele, vasectomy, TUR, bladder neck/tumor, dilatation/strictures, GU skin lesions, and circumcisions.
• Remain current on diagnostic and treatment options within scope.
• Work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need on a rotating basis.

• U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school approved for VA qualifications
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Urology Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
• Physical requirements:
  
  must meet the position’s physical standards
• Education verification and accreditation considerations as required

Salary up to $295,000 per year. Normal

Work Schedule:

Full Time, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (weekends on call).
