This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Manager located in Montgomery, AL. The Tax Manager will oversee and manage tax planning, compliance, and preparation for individual, business, and trust clients. Responsibilities include staying current with tax laws, preparing tax obligations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advising clients on tax-related matters. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior staff, leading tax projects, and collaborating with clients to develop tailored tax strategies.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Tax Planning and the ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Tax Compliance and Tax Law to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Expertise in Tax Preparation, including individual, business, and trust tax returns.
- In-depth understanding and application of Tax policies and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in tax and accounting software; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar tax management or leadership role is preferred.
