Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Accountant – Shared Services to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across our organization. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities- Reconcile and/or review moderately complex general ledger accounts and identify and assess the appropriate accounting treatment for moderately complex transactions under management direction.
- Prepare and analyze moderately complex financial transactions, moderately complex financial schedules and/or regulatory reporting for assigned processes or business units in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements and rating agency guidelines, within an appropriate control environment.
- Recommend, implement and maintain processes, under management supervision, appropriate for producing accurate, timely and efficient reporting, analysis and/or reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Provide support to others.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (or equivalent) with a focus in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- At least one year of experience in the insurance accounting field or equivalent experience in a business environment, including SAP/GAAP applications, or equivalent public accounting experience – preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Understanding of computer applications including:
Excel and Word. - Ability and willingness to work overtime, as needed.
