Yuba City Position Summary The Substation Construction Inspection organization is headquartered in Vacaville, CA. However, the work locations for our Senior Inspectors are the various Substation construction sites throughout the Pacific Gas & Electric Company's service territory. This job may require extensive overnight travel dependent on where the current construction sites are and where the successful candidates currently reside. The Inspectors are qualified company representatives responsible for providing direct oversight of construction activities by contractors at PG&E.

The Incumbents are the liaisons between the contractor and all other work groups that may be involved in the successful completion of the construction project. Inspectors may be focused on either the electrical or civil side of construction projects. Inspectors focus on quality control, quality assurance and foster a safe work environment by exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.? A reasonable salary range is:
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area):$109,000 Mid Base Salary (Bay Area):$142,000 Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area):$175,000 Minimum Base Salary (CA):$104,000 Mid Base Salary(CA):$135,000 Maximum Base Salary(CA):$166,000

Job Responsibilities - Directly interacts with contractors on substation electrical or civil construction projects at a construction worksite.

- Acts as a liaison between construction activities of contractors and engineering departments in relation to material and/or design deficiencies.

- Reads and interprets electrical and/or civil drawings and records as-built information on construction drawings.

- Researches construction drawings and reviews site conditions to ensure constructability of design.

- Tracks and documents unit quantities, materials used, project status, and communicate with Lead Inspector regarding scheduling and scope changes.

- Considers and documents compliance requirements of construction projects.

- Oversees safety tailboards for contractors - Verifies all projects are built to PG&E standards through quality control and quality assurance.

- Communicates contractor activities with all of the various work groups performing work in substation during construction.
