Duties
* You will be thoroughly familiar with SECNAV and other related security instructions in order to manage and enforce security policies and procedures at the command.
* You will serve as the Commanding Officer's advisor and direct representative on all security matters at the command.
* You will be thoroughly familiar with DoD and DoN anti-terrorism/force protection policies and instructions in order to manage and enforce AT/FP policies and procedures at the command.
* You will develop and manage a comprehensive security training program to ensure compliance with DoD and DoN security policies and procedures, to include AT/FP, pre-travel awareness, counter espionage, contractor-related security issues.
* You will maintain and inspect all procedures for safeguarding all levels of classified material, critical assets, and high value equipment.
* You will conduct periodic a comprehensive security inspection program to ensure compliance with DoD/DoN policies.
* You will establish and maintain policies and procedures for reviewing personnel security clearances to ensure proper identification badges are issued and access control measures are in place.

* You will effectively coordinate with other US Government agencies (to include NCIS, FBI, US Post Inspectors) as well as local and regional law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of command personnel and facilities.
* You will supervise division personnel and assign work in accordance with OPM regulations, ensuring subordinates understand the expected outcome and possess the tools to accomplish assignments. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require occasional travel. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and comprehensive knowledge of DoD and Navy instructions specific to physical security, personnel security, information security and industrial security. Experience and knowledge of anti-terrorism techniques and issues to function as the FNMOC expert on that issue. Experience and knowledge of the state-of-the-art in intrusion detection systems and devices, safes and other storage containers, locks and locking systems, personnel entry control systems, security measures applicable to transporting and shipping requirements, ballistic protection measures, asset protection, and loss prevention.
Experience and skill in reading, understanding, and evaluating site/facility engineering drawings for potential security deficiencies and to design and implement installation security systems for new facilities.
