Job Description and DutiesEffective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full‑time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part‑time employees are subject to the same conditions as full‑time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time‑base.
Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full‑time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) or the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) III, Correctional Facility (CF), the SRN II, CF is responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area. The SRN II, CF receives, disseminates, implements, and monitors the adherence to policies and procedures, applies supervisory rules and principles, resolves personnel issues, sets goals for self and others, and ensures the continuity of quality patient care.
Actively participates and supports the Complete Care Model.
This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.
Minimum Qualifications- Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California. (Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure the required license before they will be considered eligible for appointment.)
