Job Title: Instrument Technician (Intern)
Job Location: Oral, Facial, & Implant Surgery Center, Monterey, CA
Job Type: Unpaid Program Internship
Responsibilities- Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, charting and filing.
- Prepare patient charts, record treatment plans, and update dental records.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
- Assist the surgeon with operatory setup and cleanup.
- Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes.
- Monitor stock of surgical supplies, medication, and replenish as needed.
- Ensure that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to learn Front or Back-Office
- Sound knowledge of how to use surgical equipment, instruments, and materials.
- Great organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
- Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.
- Monday to Friday, days and times to be determined
- Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum.
- Physical requirements include driving, flying, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
