Job OverviewThe Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) works in Mental Health Services under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist and the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I. The MFT diagnoses and treats mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems. Incumbents refer incarcerated patients to other licensed health care professionals in accordance with standardized procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems.
- Refer incarcerated patients to other licensed health care professionals in accordance with standardized procedures.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with a valid state license in the applicable Business and Professions Code(s) is required. The candidate must have a background in mental health services and be able to work within the correctional environment.
Pay RangeBase pay range information is provided by California Correctional Health Care Services. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience and can be discussed with a recruiter.
