Physical Therapist (Per Diem) - Westland House
Overview
Provide Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. The Physical Therapist collaborates with a variety of professionals involved in patient care and educates, directs and supervises physical therapy services including support personnel. Services include examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and intervention to reduce disability, as well as prevention and wellness services.
The role supports program development and teaching to patients and staff, with emphasis on quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, safety, and strong interpersonal and public/customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses and interventions to reduce disability.
- Educate, direct and supervise physical therapy services and support personnel; participate in program development and teaching.
- Engage in prevention and wellness activities and contribute to patient and staff education.
Qualifications
- Education and training sufficient to obtain a California Physical Therapist license.
- Current state of California Physical Therapy license required.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Experience with neurological, orthopedic, and medical patient populations preferred.

Per Diem - Position Type:
Per Diem - Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $59.36 – $79.41
- The hours worked determine when a shift differential is paid:
Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.87;
Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.81
