Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in any of the above areas AND a Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy.
- OR The equivalent of the above, with demonstrated understanding, sensitivity to, and appreciation of the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
- Knowledge of and commitment to community college teaching, including experience meeting the needs of learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working cooperatively with staff, colleagues, and students.
- Experience in promoting student success and retention through advising and academic progress monitoring.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet the needs of community college learners with diverse backgrounds.
- Head coach experience in Basketball or Softball at the high school, community college, or university level.
- Experience teaching a variety of Kinesiology courses.
- Experience recruiting student athletes in accordance with 3C2A guidelines or similar…
