Quality Control Specialist- Mechanical

Join a leading construction company in the Western USA as a Quality Control Specialist - Mechanical. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site walks and inspections to identify and rectify poor quality or non-conforming work.
• Enforce safety plans outlining the scope and mandated requirements while operating on the site.
• Teach or facilitate training in various areas required for each project.
• Review submittals and verify materials are installed in accordance with approved submittals.
• Research, interpret, and implement various regulations and requirements.
• Create and execute a Project Quality Control Plan.
• Lead 3-phase quality meetings.
• Record and log testing and inspections done on site.
• Provide guidance for all mechanical elements on site.

Qualifications

• Journeyman’s license with a minimum of 5 years mechanical experience or BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent plan and specification reading skills.
• Well-developed organizational skills.
• Honest and dependable.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must pass government security clearance standards.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen test if hired.
• Good driving record, valid license - insurable through the company.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Procore.
• Preferred: OSHA 30 hours Training, US Army Corps of Engineers CQC certification, LEED Training.
