Project Manager - PMO/Integration

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 / year

The Project Manager (PM) will play a key role in Astrana’s growth strategy and will lead system integration and implementation efforts. The PM will be a critical stakeholder, actively supporting operational initiatives and special projects. The role requires building relationships with key market leaders, understanding our strategic moves, and working with department leaders, teams, and Ops departments to plan, execute, and implement solutions.

Project assignments consist of highly complex initiatives that involve cross‑functional departments. Projects include growth in new markets, payor contract launches/conversions, new service line implementations, government/regulatory approval/compliances, and other special projects. In this role, the PM partners and collaborates with stakeholders to achieve project goals while documenting processes and playbooks for future efficiency and focusing on improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

What

You’ll Do
  • Initiate the planning process, kick‑off, and develop a thorough understanding of all project elements; lead integration planning and drive initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Partner with COO, GVP, and other leadership to execute strategic and operational initiatives that drive key business objectives and long‑range plans.
  • Create detailed project plans with clear steps, timelines, milestones, assign owners, and monitor status of integration initiatives; escalates timely to meet set timelines.
  • Maintain robust communication with stakeholders at all levels and develop clear presentations for executives and other audiences.
  • Identify risks and issues; proactively follow up on off‑track or lagging projects, manage issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Lead change management, conduct business assessments, and solutioning with efficient communication.
  • Map processes and implement improvements to sustain growth.
  • Understand our business and operations to become a trusted partner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop tools for tracking project status and standardize tracking across the portfolio.
  • Introduce efficiency, measure KPI’s and other leading indicators to achieve department goals.
  • Execute post‑implementation/transition plans for a clean hand‑off to operational owners.
  • Continuously review integration processes, perform post‑mortems, and recommend improvements to leadership.
  • Manage special and ad‑hoc projects related to corporate development, operations, or strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong track record of end‑to‑end integrations and strategic implementations; be highly organized, process‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
  • Maintain professional relationships with executives, department leaders, and staff associated with assigned projects.

  • Iteratively improve integration toolkits, systems, and processes (project plans, RAID log, process flows, templates, meetings, minutes, knowledge management).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, public health or related field;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • PMP certification desired but not required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in healthcare operations, MSO operations, or related fields leading large‑scale M&A projects. RKK experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand, lead, drive, oversee, and coordinate across all assigned projects; clear communication across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
