Manager, Laboratory Services

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, supervises and assists in monitoring the efficiency of general clinical laboratory and pathology operations, including operational planning, day‑to‑day operation, orientation/in‑service training and motivation, performance evaluation and staff management, organizing and delineating all duties and responsibilities of all clinical testing including POC, quality management, workflow and processes, problem solving, equipment maintenance, inter‑hospital relationships, TAT evaluation, proficiency testing review, and various other projects that are assigned.

This position serves patients in and out of the hospital of all ages.

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a master’s degree is a plus but not required.
• A valid and current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the State of California Department of Health Services. ASCP certification is preferred, but not required.
• At least 6 years of experience as a lead/supervisor CLS preferred.
• Must be able to converse well in English.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to work well under stress.
