Autism Support Specialist (Entry-Level) – Behavior Technician
Department: ABA – Behavioral Support
Location:
Monterey Park, CA
Compensation: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour (depending on experience & education)
Schedule:
Part‑time, 15–25+ hours per week. Block schedule options include:
- Block 1:
Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm - Block 2:
Monday – Friday 9am – 12pm - Block 3:
Monday – Friday 12pm – 3pm - Block 4:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am – 3pm
- Work one‑on‑one with children and teens with autism and other developmental needs in home, school, or clinic settings.
- Follow a personalized therapy plan created by our clinical team.
- Use play, routines, and activities to help clients learn new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors.
- Encourage independence and build everyday life skills.
- Celebrate every win—big or small!
We offer thorough training for new staff, and ongoing support from a caring, multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or unpaid)
- Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds, sit, run as needed
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance
- Comfortable commuting up to 20 miles or 30 minutes to client sessions
- Passion for working with children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- ABA experience or RBT certified
- CPR certification for both pediatrics and adults
- Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors (e.g., non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, self‑injurious behaviors)
