Position: CNC Machinist - 7-Month Replacement

Our client, a company specialized in the manufacturing sector, optimizes its partners’ facilities through innovative, high-value systems and is seeking a CNC Machinist for a 7-month replacement on their South Shore Montréal team.

Tasks
  • Operate a Doosan DNM 5700S machining center with Fanuc controller
  • Analyze and interpret production drawings, then select the appropriate programs
  • Set up the machine before production start and install required tooling
  • Prepare parts for machining, perform assemblies, and establish the reference point
  • Check and measure parts for conformity according to the drawings before placing them on the inspection table
  • Monitor the progress of machining steps and machine condition
  • Participate in active management meetings and provide feedback as needed
  • Report any discrepancies on drawings to the supervisor, who will create an IRIS ticket for corrections
  • Assist with machine maintenance and ensure it is kept clean

Job requirements
  • Diploma in machining techniques
  • Proficient in operating a hybrid CNC lathe
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with a CNC milling machine
  • Good command of the French language: spoken and written
