Position: Assistant Director of Engineering /Operations
Location: Otterburn Park

Our client, a regional electricity distributor (territory of 500 square km, 7000 customers), is looking for a Deputy Director of Engineering and Operations.

Ensure real-time monitoring of the SCADA system, manage alarms, conduct preventive network inspections and identify risks;

Prepare the operating and management plans for the distribution network;

Actively participate in the development, design, and deployment of the electrical network modernization plan;

Develop functional specifications and plan engineering work in collaboration with the project manager;

Plan interventions on the electrical network;

Collaborate closely with electricians, engineering firms, municipalities, telecommunications companies, government departments, landowners, etc.;

Plan and coordinate the use of human resources, vehicles, tools, and subcontractors;

Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal procedures, and quality standards;

Be available outside of regular working hours to support interventions during unforeseen events, breakdowns or emergency situations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Automation, Control, or related field);

Member of OIQ;

At least 5 years of experience related to above ground electrical distribution networks (medium and low voltage);

2 years of team management experience;

Driver's license (20% travel to projects in the territory, day trips only);

French, functional English.
